Fear not, lovely readers!
Yesterday, I began a book. Yesterday, I also finished a book (sortof). After careful deliberation, I decided to read Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I have them in one book, so I’m considering them one for the project and will review once they’re both done. I finished Adventures yesterday, but haven’t yet started on Looking Glass just yet.
I decided on this book because it was a happy medium in my dilemma. While I’ve never technically read the book before (I know, another classic…) I do know the plot pretty well, because I think just about everyone knows the plot fairly well. It was a good choice, as it got the reading juices flowing, but wasn’t a struggle.
It got me thinking, though, about adaptions, and how they really shape our view of stories. Check back for more on that real soon!
So for those who are counting along with me, I’ve got a whopping 144 pages out of 15,000 done this year. Only 360 days and 14,856 pages to go!
